How daily checks work

Compare Versions automatically fetches every active URL once a day and saves a new version only when something changed. To see which pages are active, click Managing → Monitoring in the menu — see Monitoring.

What happens on each run

  • Each active (unpaused) URL is fetched.
  • The live page is compared with the latest saved snapshot.
  • If nothing changed, no new version is saved.
  • If the content changed, a new version and diff are saved, and the change appears in Main view.

Folders and paused pages

Folders are for organising and reviewing only. They don’t split your pages into separate quotas or separate runs. Paused URLs are skipped until you resume them. Click Managing → Monitoring in the menu, then click a site link in the Site column of the table. On the next page, in the Actions column, click Pause to pause monitoring for that row, or Resume to resume it. More on pause and resume is in Monitoring.

When checks stop for every page

If your paid subscription period ends, checks stop for all your URLs until you subscribe again. That is different from pausing a single URL. See Billing and account.
