You pay per URL monitored — not per domain. One domain with twelve pages counts as twelve URLs. Your monthly bill is your URL count times your plan’s per-URL rate; for example, 11 URLs costs less than 12. See the Pricing page and interactive calculator for tiers.

You can try Compare Versions on Freemium first, or subscribe to a paid plan based on how many URLs you need to monitor. Create an account and confirm your email, then on the Pricing page click a plan’s button (for example Get started). You land on Account → Billing with that plan’s URL quantity suggested. Adjust the quantity if you want, then Subscribe to open checkout. Your paid plan follows the URL count you choose; access starts when payment succeeds.

When you register we email a one-time confirmation link. You must confirm before you can use the app — add URLs, review changes, or open checkout. This keeps accounts tied to real addresses and reduces abuse. If the message does not arrive, check spam or use Resend on the confirmation page after you log in.

Freemium lasts about 30 days from registration. After that, scheduled checks stop and your monitoring data (URLs, snapshots, diffs) is permanently deleted. Your login remains. Subscribe from Account → Billing before or after that date to keep monitoring under a paid plan. Details are in Terms §5a.

Open Account → Billing. If Manage billing is available, you can cancel, update your card, or view invoices. Cancelling stops future renewals; monitoring continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting your account (Account → Delete account) also cancels billing and permanently removes your data immediately.

Scheduled checks pause for all your URLs. We keep your monitoring data for about 30 days so you can export what you need or resubscribe. If you resubscribe before that date, monitoring can resume. If you do not, that monitoring data is permanently deleted; your login may remain as Freemium unless you delete the account. Details are in Terms §5b.

Compare Versions is built for public reference pages your team is authorized to monitor — for example pricing or policy pages, product terms, help articles, and similar published content — with reliable daily checks and side-by-side diff review.

On Scale and higher plans, Basic proxy is an optional add-on that may route a fetch through residential proxy providers when a site blocks normal retrieval. You enable it per URL against bought slots. Results are not guaranteed.

You buy slots (capacity) first. Each URL gets a 4-day free try so you can see whether Basic proxy works before any proxy charge. After that, you pay only when it succeeds — up to $1.50 per URL / month (share of the month). If it never works, you pay $0 for proxy on that URL. Checkout for the proxy subscription is $0 today; usage bills on renewal in $0.50 increments. Any unused amount under $0.50 carries to your next billing period (shown on Account → Billing).

Not always. Strong bot protection (Cloudflare, Incapsula and similar), login-only content, and some PDF paths may still fail. The 4-day free try exists so you do not pay to find that out. This is not limited to any sector or country.

Slots are capacity — how many URLs may have Basic proxy on at once — not a flat charge. Buy any whole number from 5 to 500 (for example 29 blocked URLs → 29 slots).

Lemon Squeezy allows one line item per subscription. URL monitoring and Basic proxy therefore bill as separate subscriptions. Cancelling one does not cancel the other.

No. Authorization is your responsibility under Terms §4. Basic proxy is only for Online Services you are authorized to monitor.

Compare Versions records fetch status per URL. Blocked (403), rate-limited, and challenge-style responses may appear in Monitoring. Challenge pages may be stored so you can see a bot-check shell. On Scale+, Billing offers Basic proxy slots; enable per URL from Monitoring when you have capacity.

Paid and Freemium plans include automatic daily checks. Each scheduled run fetches your active monitored URLs, compares them to the latest stored snapshot, and records a new version and diff only when content changes. You review those changes in Main view.

When a page changes, Compare Versions stores a side-by-side highlighted diff. You can review the full page, a text-only summary, or text in context. Toolbar controls jump between highlights — paired automatically when old and new counts match, or one side at a time (orange previous, cyan current) when they differ. Opening a diff marks it as reviewed in your Main view inbox.

Compare Versions tracks consecutive not-found responses. Pages that stay broken appear on the Broken links screen so you can review and remove them manually. URLs are not auto-deleted.

Before fetching, Compare Versions checks robots.txt for the target site. Disallowed URLs are blocked unless you explicitly authorize an override after acknowledging the Terms of Service. Blocked pages appear on a dedicated Robots.txt screen.

Yes, where supported. PDF URLs are downloaded, converted to HTML for diffing, and follow the same daily check and review workflow as normal web pages.

Freemium accounts keep up to three snapshots per page. Paid plans store more versions per URL — see the Pricing page for limits by tier.

Yes. After you log in, open Settings → Email alerts to turn change emails on or off and set an optional minimum change size. Digests are sent when scheduled checks detect changes.
